Dye Sublimation: Dye Sublimation, is the process of applying an image to products, using three main ingredients: sublimation ink, heat and pressure. The science of Dye Sublimation is the unique ability of sublimation inks to convert from a solid to a gas without going through a liquid form. (Just like dry ice.) The Art of Dye Sublimation is in how we control the application of heat, pressure and time on the many unique products that we produce. Sproxte, powered by Athlete Dream has developed deep competence in both over years through research and development.
Direct to Garment [D2G]: Direct to Garment is sometimes referred to as Digital Garment printing, Digital Apparel printing, or Inkjet to Garment printing. D2G is a process Sproxte uses to print graphics onto t-shirts or other textiles and garments. Our D2G capabilities allow us to print over 16 million colors directly to your shirt. D2G uses modified inkjet technology to quickly print whatever graphic you want DIRECTLY onto the shirt without the more involved setup and clean up process of Screen Print. Best of all, the ink is safe, dries quickly, and soaks into your garment and becomes part of the shirt. That means there’s no chance for the graphic to crack, peel, or wash away over time.
Cut & Sew: Is a system of manufacturing in which shaped pieces are cut from raw fabric, dye sublimated and stitched together to form Sproxte Gear. One of the things that makes us unique is that we have developed a business that does this work locally, while shipping globally. We can either design for a pre-made garment, such as a t-shirt or hooded sweatshirt, or create the entire garment created from scratch. As system of manufacturing, cut and sew capabilities allow Sproxte to compete with overseas manufacture pricing by partnering to eliminate the high cost of labor, shipping time and the loss of creative control trying to convey artistic differentiation through 3rd party contract resources.
High-Volume Screen: Printing Screen-printing capabilities at Sproxte are great for larger orders and bold designs and this process should not be confused with heat transfer printing (or thermal prints). Transfer prints do not last as well and are not as good in terms of print quality. We screen print cost will increase with each additional color applied. For each separate color an additional screen is required, so a design with 4 colors in it will need 4 screens, this can make screen printing in many colors costly for small runs. However, when producing high-volumes of shirts, the cost of multiple applications and screens spread. We start price breaks at 10, 20, 50, 100, 200 and at 500. We price 500 or more individually.
